DON SCAFIDI'S OIL PAINTINGS are quite diverse. Most often they are precise depictions of of sailing ships on the water. Ship's lines, rigging, sails and hulls are painted with almost photographic realism. Whether calm or rough seas, he captures the movement of the ocean so well that one no doubt feels the motion of the water.
